William Romans is Head of Operations of the Dispute Resolution Service (DRS). With the DRS, he oversees daily operations, under the overall guidance of the AM Secretary, and continues to support the functional establishment and continuous improvement of the new service. Previously, he worked for over 20 years as legal and human rights staff with international organizations including the OSCE, the UN and the EU. He holds an LL.M. from Stellenbosch University in South Africa, an LL.B. from Edinburgh University in Scotland, is an accredited mediator, and is qualified as an attorney in New York.
